Common questions
Can I try HIVE 1.0 first?
Yes. Open the live demo and sign in with the username demo and the password try-the-hive. It runs a sample salon, every name and figure is fictional, and it goes back to fresh sample data every night.
Do I need to install anything?
No. HIVE 1.0 runs in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer. You can also install it like an app, with its own icon.
Does it handle VAT?
Yes. Each invoice can be standard-rated at 14%, zero-rated, exempt or not VAT-registered. The Taxes screen sets each month's figures out on the lines of GRA's VAT return, with the date it is due.
Can I bring my customer list?
Yes. Import customers from Excel, CSV or your phone's contacts. You see what will be added first, and people already in HIVE 1.0 are not added twice.
Is my data safe?
HIVE 1.0 saves a full copy of your business every minute when something changes and keeps copies for up to 30 days. You can download a full backup at any time, require two-step sign-in, and give each person only the access they need. Every business has its own separate records.
What does it cost?

Can my accountant use it?
Yes. An accountant login has full access to the books and view-only access to everything else, and the year-end pack puts every report for the year into one PDF and Excel file.
